Vincent Gerald Favro

Vincent Gerald Favro "CY", age 92, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2008 at RTA Hospice & Palliative Care Center in Lakeside, AZ. He was born as one of five sons' to Claude & Myrtle Favro on August 4, 1915 in Plattsburg, New York. Cy married Thelma Darrah on March 28, 1936. He later joined the United States Navy serving during World War II. In 1953 he moved from New York to Phoenix, Arizona and worked for Air Research Manufacturing until he retired. After he retired he relocated to Black Canyon City for the winters and Show Low for the cool summers. Mr. Favro is survived by his sons, David of Show Low, AZ and Ron of Racine, WI; 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma on January 5, 2006 and one son Gary. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday May 7, 2008 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, Arizona. Donations to RTA Hospice & Palliative Care, 1789 W. Commerce Dr., Lakeside, AZ 85929 have been suggested by his family.
