Daisy Mae Douglas

Daisy Mae Douglas died on Wednesday, January 16, 2008 in Lakeside, Arizona at the age of 89. She was born on March 22, 1918 in Macon, Missouri to the late Forest and Pearl (Cress) Van Sickle. On June 25, 1934 she married Herschel Douglas. After their marriage, they moved to Montana. While in Montana they had 2 sons. In 1950, the family moved to Arizona. Daisy always had a smile for everyone. She loved her children and grandchildren. Her greatest joy came from visiting with family and friends. Daisy is survived by: her son, Norman Douglas of Chester, ID; daughter-in-law, Linda Douglas of Phoenix, AZ; 7 grandchildren: Deana Hartwig (Bob) of Albuquerque, NM, Victor Douglas,of Scottsdale, AZ, Diana Douglas of Gilbert, AZ, Rob Douglas (Lori) of Show Low, AZ, Angie Douglas (Joe) of Gilbert, AZ, Jeff Douglas of Gilbert, AZ, Jason Douglas of Gilbert, AZ; 5 great-grandchildren: Nicole Wheaton, Ryan Douglas, Ashley Arce (Derrek), BreAna Leinbach, Stacia Douglas; 3 brothers: Harold Van Sickle of Phoenix, AZ, Forrest Van Sickle (Marie) of Phoenix, AZ, Lloyd Van Sickle (Peggy) of Scottsdale, AZ. She is preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Hershel Douglas; son, Gene Douglas and a sister, Helen Newsome. A cryptside memorial service will be held 10:00 A.M., Monday, January 21, 2008 at Green Acres Mausoleum, 401 N. Hayden Road in Scottsdale. Arrangements are by Owens Mortuary - White Mountain Chapel of Show Low, Arizona.
