Mary DeSpain

June 16, 1921 — March 31, 2008

Mary DeSpain, age 86, passed away peacefully March 31 2008 in Winslow, Arizona. Mary was born June 16, 1921 in Bolivar, LA to the late Robert "Red" & Emma (Hillibert) Hutchinson. She was a past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star Liberty Chapter #23 and a member for over 50 years. Mary was also a past Mother Advisor for the Rainbow Girls. She was active in the Navajo County Horse Racing Club for a number of years. Mary worked at the 1st National Bank of Arizona. Later she worked for Bud Johnson, Bob Fisher and retired working with her husband Ray DeSpain Sand and Gravel in Holbrook. Mary loved her family very much and will be greatly missed by all. She is survived by her step-daughter, Lynn Marie DeSpain of Arizona; son, Bob (Pat) DeSpain of Holbrook, Arizona; grandchildren, Wesley (Dolores) DeSpain of Holbrook, Arizona, Michael Ozment of Arizona, Sherrie Ozment of Holbrook, Arizona as well as 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray DeSpain, and a grandson Danny Ozment. Contributions to Extended Care 216 Joy Nevin Avenue, Holbrook, Arizona 86025 have been suggested by her family. A memorial visitation will be held Friday, April 4, 2008 from 6-8 PM at the Holbrook Chapel Owens Mortuary 409 N. 1st. Ave. Holbrook, Arizona 86025.
