Alta Cullum

Alta Cullum, 78 of Show Low, passed away September 28, 2006. She was born in Wichita Falls, TX to Bryant Allbriton and Zoe Smith. She grew up and attended school there. Following school, she moved to Phoenix, married, and started a family. In 1959 she met and later married Everett Cullum in 1960. They stayed in Phoenix until 1983, when they moved to Sun Lakes. In 1993 they moved to Overgaard. Alta loved to read a play Scrabble. Alta is survived by her husband, Everett Cullum; sons Neil Ashton of Peoria and Mark Ashton on Queen Creek; a sister Zeona Gilbrath; 13 grandchildren and 5 great- grandchildren. The interment will be in the National Memorial Cemetery on Cave Creek Road. A graveside service will be at the cemetery at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 3, 2006. Owens Mortuary of Show Low handled the arrangements.
