Mary Roberta Cross

Mary Roberta Cross of Concho, AZ passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2009 surrounded by her loving family. Prior to her illness, Mary enjoyed traveling with her husband throughout the United States and Canada. Her favorite hobbies were reading, playing scrabble, doing jigsaw puzzles, and crocheting. Mary's sweet voice and dainty beauty won most people over at first sight. She will be remembered as someone who never wanted for joy or beauty, as she saw it in life's simplest blessings. She cared for her cat, Cuddles, and her many thriving plants and flowers. By her example, Mary taught her children how to find courage and strength in oneself, how to see beauty and joy in the small things, and how to love each other, life and her loving God, Jehovah. Mary was associated with the Show Low congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She served faithfully as one of Jehovah's Witnesses for over 50 years. To her family, she will always be more than a memoryshe is a living presence. Mary is survived by her husband, Philip W. Cross of Concho, AZ; four children; Gail F. Clancy of Suwanee, GA, Bonnie M. Tower of Concho, AZ Raymond S. Cross of Redstone, CO and Albert L. Cross of Yreka, CA. Memorial services will be 6:00 PM, Friday, March 27, 2009 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses 201 E. Whipple Street, Show Low, Arizona. Inurnment will be in the Gordon Cemetery in West Main St., Searsport, ME.
