Danny Coronado, 47, of Holbrook died on Sunday, August 24, 2008. A viewing will be held at 6 o'clock Friday, August 29th at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Holbrook, followed by a rosary service at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 A.M. on Saturday, August 30th, at the church, and will be preceded by a viewing at 10:00 A.M. Danny was born on May 2, 1961, in Holbrook and attended Holbrook Public Schools, graduating in 1980. He was a great football player and an outstanding wrestler, and was a four-year letterman in both sports. His passion for wrestling led him to two state championships. Danny also wrestled in Japan in 1977 and 1978, and in 1980 against China. Danny loved softball, horseshoes, wrestling, camping, cutting wood, riding his Harley, hanging out with his friends, and family, but mostly his loving wife Nellie. He was employed with the Arizona Department of Transportation-Holbrook Maintenance. He will be greatly missed. Survivors include his wife, Nellie Coronado; two sons, Brandon Coronado of Phoenix and Doug Krusze Jr. of Mesa; three daughters, Trisha (Rich) Mueller of Mesa, Brittany Krusze of Mesa and Deidra Krusze of Holbrook; one grandson, Johnathon Bickett of Joseph City; one granddaughter, Alisa Mueller of Mesa; his stepfather, Roger Moyta of White Mountain Lakes; three sisters, Pauline Gariby of Albuquerque, N.M., Solia Vargas of Tucson and Charlene Jimenez of Holbrook; four brothers, Matthew (Deanna) Coronado of Scranton, Ark., Oscar Vargas of White Mountain Lakes, Anecito "Lencho" (Monique) Coronado of Tucson and Anthony Coronado of Dowiglac, Mich.; many nieces and nephews; three godchildren; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Moyta; his father, Joe Coronado; and his brother, Raymond Coronado. An account at Wells Fargo in Holbrook has been set up on his behalf.
