Verlie "Peck" Alvah Challis

"Peck" Challis, age 93, passed away June 7, 12009 in Snowflake, Arizona. Born August 5, 1915 in Stecker, Oklahoma. Peck loved children, especially his grandchildren. He was an honest businessman, who lived by the Golden Rule; he was kind, and generous. Peck loved to fish and hunt quail. He is survived by 2 sons, Rick & Ron Challis, 3 grandchildren, Veta (Larry) Pedersen, Jay (Jenifer) Cook, and Rob Challis; 9 great-grandchildren; Cody, Logan, Kaelee, Lane, Colton, Jensen, Josh, Christina and Breanna. Preceded in death by his wife, LaVeta and a daughter Renee Cook. A memorial service will be held 3 PM Thursday, June 11, 2009 at the Owens Livingston Mortuary-White Mountain Chapel, in Show Low, Arizona.
