Stephen Howard Cavanaugh

Stephen H. Cavanaugh, of Show Low, passed away surrounded by his loving family September 26, 2009 at Hospice Compassus in Lakeside. He was 60. Stephen was born June 15, 1949 in Portsmith, VA to the late Joseph F. and Teresa A. (Peel) Cavanaugh. Stephen loved to fish and enjoyed the outdoors. His wife, sons and grandchildren brought life into his eyes. His love for spending time with them was second to none. Grace Church was his home where he embraced the Lord and the plan he had for him. It is here where he found and accepted the Lord for himself and many others. Stephen is survived by his "Sweetheart" of 30 years, Katherine Cavanaugh of Show Low; 3 sons, Mike (Juanita) of Show Low, Tim of Flagstaff and Steve of Florida; 2 grandchildren, Ezekiel and Zyden; brothers, Billy and Carl; sisters, Tina and Bridget as well as many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Hugh and Joey as well as a sister, Jane. Memorial services will be held at 12:00 Saturday, October 3, 2009 at the Grace Church, 700 S. 19th Ave., Show Low.
