George Charles Bryant

George Charles Bryant, of Snowflake, Arizona, passed away, surrounded by his loving family, Thursday, January 14, 2010 at his home. He was 74 years old. George was born on July 30, 1935 in Snowflake, Arizona to the late Roy Tenney and Ada (Ramsay) Bryant. He was a 1954 graduate of Snowflake High School, and was very involved with their athletic program. He played football while he was there and, in 1954, the year he graduated, George made the All Northern Basketball Team. Throughout his life, George was a successful businessman, farmer, rancher and horseman. He was a member of the Snowflake 9th Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. George is survived by his 7 children: Ray (Carla) Bryant, Rena Bryant, Ryan Bryant, Ranona (Duane) Wiehl, Ranae Stephens, Cassie Bryant, Kala Bryant; 1 brother, Jim Bryant; 2 sisters: Hazel Brimhall, Ruby Brimhall; 22 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Louis Bryant and a granddaughter, Lauren Wiehl. The public visitation for George will be from 6:00 to 7:30 P.M., Friday, January 22, 2010 at Owens Livingston Mortuary - Heritage Chapel, 84 E. 19th South in Snowflake, Arizona. The funeral service will begin at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, January 23, 2010 at the Main Street Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 48 N. Main Street in Snowflake, where additional visitation will begin 1 hour prior. The concluding service and interment will follow at the R.V. "Mike" Ramsay Memorial Cemetery in Snowflake, Arizona.
