Lori Ann Brookens

Lori Ann Brookens died suddenly on Monday, January 12, 2009 at the emergency room of the Summit HealthCare Regional Medical Center in Show Low, Arizona. She was 38. Lori was born on July 11, 1970 in Topeka, Kansas to the late Larry Allen Brookens and Vicky Jo (Darnall) Brookens McWhirt. She moved to Show Low about 7 years ago from her native Kansas where she worked as the assistant front desk manager at the Paint Pony Lodge. She was a loving daughter and a devoted mother and will be missed by many who called her friend. Lori is survived by her son, Justin Dillon Brookens of Show Low, Arizona; mother, Vicky J. McWhirt (Jerry) of Topeka, Kansas; brother, David A. Brookens of Colorado and boyfriend, Curtis Koffman of Show Low. Her family will be planning a memorial service that will be held in Topeka, Kansas at a later date.
