Gerald Wheeler Brimhall, age 79, passed away December 5, 2006 in Lakeside, Arizona. He was born in Otto, Wyoming. He has lived in Taylor for the past 27 years with his wife and family. He served in the U. S. Army in the Korean War. His occupation if life was as a machinist in many shops for 34 years. Gerald also served in many capacities in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints over the years, including a two year mission with his wife at the Bishop's Store House in Snowflake. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, fishing, traveling and he was an avid reader. He loved to surround himself with his many children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He always made time for everyone who needed him. Gerald is survived by 2 daughters, Billie (Larry) Durbin of Snowflake and Phyllis Irwin of Taylor; one son, Gerald John (Dea) Brimhall of Denver, Colorado; 9 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Zelda Roberts, Enid Sanderson and Vivian Heard and two brothers, Harold Brimhall and Les Brimhall as well as many close friends. He is preceded in death by wife of 58 years, Nina Lillian; a daughter, Donna Foster and a son-in-law, Bryon Abington. He will be greatly missed by many and will always be loved and admired. Funeral services will be held Tuesday December 12th at 10:00A.M. at the Taylor Stake Center, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with a visitation one hour prior at the church and from 6-8:00 P.M. Monday December 11th at Owens Mortuary in Snowflake. Owens Mortuary of Snowflake handled arrangements.
