Virgil Lee Bickett of Tucson and Show Low, Ariona, died Monday, May 25, 2009 at his Show Low home at the age of 81. He was born on September 20, 1927 in Kansas. At the age of 17 he enlisted in The United States Navy and served 2 years during World War II. Throughout his life he worked as a geologist for the government. Virgil moved to Arizona 14 years ago from Colorado, living in Tucson during the winter months and, most recently, in Show Low during the summer months. He is survived by his wife, Marie W. (Klinke) Bickett of Tucson and Show Low; step-son, Robert A. Webber, Sr. (Janeen) of Littleton, Colorado; 2 step-grandchildren: Robert A. Webber, Jr. (Carol), Rachael Stickland (Dave); 5 step-great-grandchildren: Jack, Jess, & Macey Webber and Josh & Ben Stickland. He was preceded in death by a brother, Boyce Bickett and his sister, Mabel Kennedy. Funeral Services are pending at this time and will be held in Denver, Colorado.
