Mary Elizabeth Beltz

November 6, 1923 — October 22, 2009

With her family by her side, Mary Elizabeth Beltz died, peacefully, Thursday, October 22, 2009 at the Summit Helathcare Regional Medical Center in Show Low, Arizona following a sudden illness. She was 85 years old. Mary was born on November 6, 1923 in Syracuse, New York to the late John Franklin and Mary Matilda (Windowmaker) Fuller. She married the love of her life, Harold Leroy Beltz on April 19, 1947 in Pennsylvania. They moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1957. Throughout her life, Mary was a devoted homemaker to her husband and 5 daughters and found great joy in catering to their every need. She enjoyed working with her hands on various handicraft projects. She made many dolls, plaster-of-paris statues, decoupaging and was quite talented with oil painting. Mary thoroughly enjoyed music and especially enjoyed singing in the church choirs. Mary moved to Show Low from Tempe in 1988. She most recently was a faithful member of Show Low's First Baptist Church. On occasion, Mary enjoyed giving her husband, of 62 years, a good ol' "What for!" Together they enjoyed hunting, camping and hiking with all their family; a time they all cherished as a family. She is survived by: her husband, Harold Leroy Beltz of Linden, Arizona; 5 daughters: Rose Pruitt of Troy, Tennessee, Sharon Farnsworth, of Tempe, Arizona, Terry (Richard) Farnsworth of Tempe, Arizona, Tonia Montague (Kenneth) of Pinetop, Arizona, Penny Jessee of Tempe, Arizona; 1 sister, Gloria Nale of San Ramon, Califorinia; 10 grandchilren; 22 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers: Charles Fuller, John Fuller; 3 sisters: Pearl, Violet and Agnes. A memorial service will begin 3:00 P.M., Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Show Low First Baptist Church, 700 N. Central Avenue in Show Low where the interim Pastor Jim Brown will officiate.
