John Elias Bedway

November 21, 1936 — December 15, 2007

John Elias Bedway, age 71, completed his journey in life on Saturday, December 15, 2007. He was born on November 21, 1936 in Toledo, Ohio. John worked for 36 years with the Salt River Project as a Heavy Equipment Operator. In 1979 he moved to Concho and retired as the Coal Yard Forman for The Coronado Generating Station in St. Johns. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed the outdoors and fishing with his buddies at Roosevelt Lake. Some of Johns memorable accomplishments include, Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 562 in Phoenix, he promoted 15 young men to the rank of Eagle Scouts. He was also the youngest of the organizers of the St. Vincent DePaul Charity Dining Room in 1952 in Phoenix as well. John leaves behind his wife of 51 years, Carol; son, John (Lynnda); daughters, Kathy (Stanley) and Theresa; 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. His son, Tom and daughter, Bobbie, preceded him in death. Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, December 22, 2007 at The San Rafael Catholic Church in Concho with a Rosary at 7:00 P.M. Friday Evening at the Church.
